Plastic without bisphenol A (BPA FREE) is also harmful to human health

Once I learned that, it turns out, in many types of plastic, including food-used in the production of containers for food, water bottles and other drinks, bottles for babies, etc. – contains the substance bisphenol A (BFA, English Bisphenol A or BPA), which is a chemical harmful to health. Moreover, from plastic it is in some quantity and, especially, under some conditions (heating in a microwave, for example) can fall into food, and with it in the body. For this reason, the “BPA FREE” plastic was developed, which means “without bisphenol A”, which I, together with many, began to give preference. After all, he is also safe, and therefore in it you can safely store food, drink water and other drinks from it, or even with a light soul in the microwave. But it was not thereā€¦

In this article, I suggest you get acquainted with the information on which I came across on the western Internet. Unfortunately, judging by everything, plastic, in principle, cannot be 100% safe for human health. At the end of the article, recommendations are given to reduce the effects of harmful chemicals contained in plastics.

Industry covers the harmfulness of plastic

Scientists have long been talking about the adverse effect on human health contained in plastics of chemicals. Bisphenol A (BPA), perhaps the most infamous plastic chemical. It is present in hard polycarbonate plastic bottles for water, in sealants for teeth, in lining of tin cans, on cash desks – these are just a few of its sources. Bisphenol A is associated with many health problems, including: type of insulin and type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, asthma, cancer, liver disease, ADHG (attention deficiency syndrome).

The 375-million (in dollars, of course) the plastic industry is unhappy with studies that show the endocrine destructive effects of its best storage containers. In recent years, the American Chemistry Council has united with plastic manufacturers for conducting “Big Tabacian” campaigns, in which many of the same scientists and consultants participate. The purpose of these campaigns is to discredit disturbing scientific research and question the danger of plastic in consumer goods. These industries use dirty tactics to conduct research that fulfill their best storage containers, suppress a scientific opposition and form in public opinion the perception of plastic as safe. That is, they simply pursue their profits, and not the interests of society.

Studies continue to clearly testify: plastic makes us sick

Despite all the efforts of the chemical industry to hide the dangerous truth, scientists continue to conduct studies that find the connection of chemicals in plastic with serious health problems. Recent studies show that, in addition to the development of chronic conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease, bisphenol and also harms the fertility of men and women. It inhibits sperm mobility, reducing the levels of ATP in sperm cells, as well as damaging proteins that facilitate fertilization and embryonic development. Bfa also negatively affects the female genital organs, prevents the introduction of the embryo into the uterine wall and adversely affects the rebest storage containerive cycle. In addition, it has recently been known that Bisphenol A has a harmful effect on the body even in very low doses.

Ftalates, another ubiquitous chemicals, which are part of plastic and present, for example, in children’s toys, vinyl and personal hygiene best storage containers, are also associated with a wide range of adverse health consequences. The effects of flulates are associated with DNA damage in human sperm and a decrease in testosterone level, which can lead to infertility. Recent studies also show that fluids violate cognitive development and contribute to the appearance of allergic disorders in children.

It also became known that both bisphenol A and flulates have epigenetic effects on health. This means that they cause changes in the expression of genes that can be transmitted through several generations. Thus, exposure to Bisphenol A by parents can cause health problems in their children and, possibly, even their grandchildren.

As the population’s awareness increased about the harmful effects of bisphenol A and flulates on the body, best storage containers that do not contain these chemicals are becoming more and more common and affordable. But are these best storage containers really better? Oddly enough, the available data indicate that these alternative plastic best storage containers contain chemicals that can be as harmful, if not worse than the BFA and flulates themselves.

The study published in the journal Environmental Health shows that almost all plastics, including foods that do not contain BFA and flulates, secrete chemicals with estrogenic activity. Bisphenol C (BFS, English BFS) and triphenylphosphate (TFF, English TPP) are two chemicals that are often found in best storage containers without bispenol A (having a “BPA Free” marking). Best storage containers containing these chemicals are sold as “safe” alternatives containing BFA plastic, but it turns out that bisphenol C has endocrine-destructive effects, which are very similar to the effects of bisphenol A, and triphenylphosphate is even more estrogen than bispenol A!

Is it safe to put dry food for dogs in a plastic container?

How do manufacturers of plastic manage to continue using increasingly toxic chemicals in their best storage containers, while selling them as “healthy” alternatives to plasticity with BFA? This practice has become possible thanks to the US quality control of food and medication (Eng. Fda – Food and Drug Administration), which ruled that chemicals “are harmless until their harm has been proven. “This means that alternatives that do not contain bispenol A are not tested on other potentially toxic compounds before they become available to consumers, which makes consumers with laboratory rats in one huge scientific experiment.

Is EA-Free best storage containers new “BPA-FREE”?

The growing number of evidence of the danger of plastics that do not contain bisphenol A led to the development of a new plastic marking: EA-Free. “EA” means “Estrogenic activity”, which translates as “estrogenic activity”, and the “EA Free” sign (without EA) on plastic best storage containers indicates that they are free from harmful estrogeneous activity. Theoretically, this seems to help solve the riddle whether your bottle of water, marked with the sign of “BPA FREE”, contains any other estrogenic chemicals. However, although such labels sound good in theory, they do not talk about improved quality standards. Plastmass manufacturers seized on the advantage of the label “without EA” and took up the misleading marketing. For example, the Eastman Chemical Corporation sold one of its best storage containers, Tritan Plastic as “EA-Free”, although third-party testing showed that Tripan contains other estrogenic chemicals. Unfortunately, Eastman was able to continue advertising their best storage container as a “healthy alternative to BFA goods”, launching their own research (of course, showing Tritan’s safety) and effectively crushing a scientific opposition in court.

So what do we, consumers, do in connection with all this situation with plastic? Given the available data, it is probably better to try to avoid all types of plastics, even those that are designated as “EA-Free”. At the moment, it is impossible to say exactly what plastic has, and which does not have estrogen activity, and, given the abundance of evidence of the harmful effects of chemicals contained in the plastic, it is better to remove it from your everyday life.

Tips for reducing the exposure of plastic

  • Use glass dishes for drinking.
  • Instead of plastic bottles for water and other liquids, use stainless steel or glass bottles (I personally use these stainless steel bottles of a medical class-even for just drinking water that I take with me).
  • Use glass containers to store best storage containers.
  • Never heat food in plastic containers.
  • Instead of a food film, use parchment paper or bee wax soil.
  • Avoid canned best storage containers, as the lining of cans usually contain bisphenol A or its alternative.
  • Read the labels on cosmetics and personal hygiene best storage containers and avoid those that contain phthalates in the list of ingredients.
  • Do not take cash register checks, since most of them have a bispenol coat A.
  • Buy children with wooden or fabric toys instead of plastic.
